3. WOOD KEYCHAINS

While working closely with a local engraving company, we ran into some challenges when it came to material.
The rectangle keychains (left) was the first order we worked though. I wanted to recycle the scrap-wood from my 2017 fall line of longboards, Freestyle. The scrap wood was too think for the machine to laser out a deck shape. I attempted to split the thickness of my scraps and found (fortunately!) that the glue laminated the veneers so tightly, splitting was impossible. So I decided if they would engrave my logo, I would cut them into rectangles myself.
Since I wanted another set of keychains that included my websites and social tags, I opted for their in-house material and saw the mini wood through. (right)
